Artillery Fort Magletsch
The Artilleriewerk Magletsch is a fortress museum in Oberschan (Gretschins), Switzerland, built into the rock during the Second World War as the northeastern cornerstone of the Fortress Sargans. The museum, run by the AFOM association, offers guided tours through around 2000 metres of tunnels in the upper level, including the machine hall with three Sulzer ship diesel engines, the telephone exchange, the firing office for the three 10.5 cm armoured turrets, and rearmed 7.5 cm bunker cannon positions. Visitors can also explore the surrounding installations such as the Brögstein outwork, the Schollberg fortifications near Trübbach, and various bunkers. The site hosts changing guided tours and special visits throughout the year.
