AQUATIS Aquarium-Vivarium in Lausanne, Switzerland, is the largest aquarium in Switzerland, inviting visitors on a journey across five continents to discover the main freshwater ecosystems of Europe, Africa, Asia, Oceania and the Americas. The site houses more than 8,000 freshwater fish (200 species) and 100 reptiles and amphibians (34 species), presented along a permanent route of some forty aquariums, aquaterrariums and terrariums. AQUATIS is actively engaged in conservation programmes coordinated by the European Association of Zoos and Aquariums (EAZA) and hosts changing temporary exhibitions.
