Appenzeller Customs Museum Urnäsch

Museum dedicated to the living customs of the Appenzell region, located in a historic building at the village square of Urnäsch. The permanent exhibition covers Silvesterchlausen, alpine cattle drives, traditional costumes, folk art, and folk music, with many hands-on musical instruments.

Families and Kids

Children can explore three Appenzell customs (Alpfahrt, Silvesterchlausen, Zauren) in a hands-on workshop. A museum detective puzzle trail is also available for families. Suitable for school grades 3 to 6.
