Anatomical Museum Basel
The Anatomical Museum Basel in Basel, Switzerland, is part of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Basel and preserves a collection of historical specimens that is unique worldwide. It mainly exhibits original specimens of human body parts, organs and tissues, arranged systematically and topographically to illustrate the structure of the body. The prenatal development of the human body is also on display. The museum also presents changing special exhibitions on particular areas of anatomy and related sciences.
Families and Kids
Children up to 11 years have free admission. The museum offers workshops for school classes and groups aged 10 and up, where children can learn about their body, prepare bones or make blood vessels visible.
