Altes Zeughaus
The Altes Zeughaus in Teufen, Switzerland, houses the Grubenmann Museum, dedicated to the Teufen master builder family Grubenmann. The permanent exhibition presents the life and work of the 18th-century builders, whose wide-spanning wooden constructions for churches and bridges are shown through models, plans, images and documents. The museum also serves as a forum for contemporary and applied art, complemented by themes of building culture and regional phenomena, and hosts changing temporary exhibitions. It is a center for building culture and architectural mediation.
Families and Kids
The museum offers workshops and guided tours for children, young people and families in cooperation with the cultural mediation organization kklick, including offers such as bridge building and planning stories. School classes can take part in interactive, curriculum-adapted workshops and dialogic guided tours, which are free for schools from Appenzell Ausserrhoden.
