Wolzenalp
Wolzenalp is a ski area in the Toggenburg region near Krummenau in the canton of St. Gallen, Switzerland. It extends between roughly 1,100 and 1,500 m above sea level and offers wide, largely natural-snow pistes graded intermediate (red) and difficult (black). The area is served by a chairlift, two ski lifts, practice lifts and a magic carpet in the children's area.
Families and Kids
The children's area next to the mountain restaurant has a 70-metre magic carpet on a gently sloping, wide piste where beginners can make their first turns, with good visibility from the restaurant terrace. Beside it there is a marked race course with a start hut and timing. The playground offers a ball run, a tubing run and a cableway, and a two-kilometre sledging run leads from Rietbach down to the valley station.
Food and drinks
The Bergrestaurant Wolzenalp at Rietbach serves seasonal, regional dishes and is open daily from 09:00 to 17:00. A traditional Sunday brunch is offered from Easter to the end of November, and in winter fondue and a family platter are available. Several ski huts along the pistes, run by local ski clubs, plus the Stalden-Bar at the Stalden lift provide additional stops for refreshments and après-ski.
