Sörenberg

Sörenberg is a winter sports area in the heart of the UNESCO Entlebuch Biosphere Reserve in the canton of Lucerne. The ski resort offers many easy blue slopes and parking right by the pistes, making it especially popular with families, while experienced skiers can test their skills on one of the six steepest runs in Europe. The area is served by, among others, the Rossweid gondola, the Brienzer Rothorn cable car and the Eisee chairlift.

Families and Kids

Sörenberg is especially family-friendly, with many easy blue slopes and parking right by the pistes. A children's paradise with play elements and a magic carpet, plus the Sörenberg Ski and Snowboard School and the private Snow Motion ski school, cater to young winter sports enthusiasts. Off the slopes, two sled runs, an artificial ice rink in the village, a detective trail, a selfie trail and llama trekking provide variety.

Food and drinks

In and around Sörenberg there are numerous mountain restaurants and alpine inns, including the Rothorn Summit Restaurant with panoramic windows and terrace, the Rossweid Adventure Restaurant and Mountain Hotel amid the moorlands, the Berghaus Eisee at the foot of the Rothorn, the Schwand Ski Hut and Bergwelten Salwideli. In the valley and along the hiking trails there are also inns such as Schlund Beizli, Alp Glaubenbielen, Alp Arnischwand and Kiosk Tannisboden.
