FAQ

  • How does the demand-based pricing for ski passes work?
Ski pass prices are recalculated daily based on expected and actual demand and the weather forecast. Booking early through the online webshop gives the lowest price, and the displayed price will not drop further. Group and school tickets, FlexCards, season and annual passes and destination ski passes are excluded from demand-based pricing.
  • What does the SaastalCard include for skiers?
The SaastalCard, available in almost all accommodations, includes free use of the ski bus throughout the Saas Valley and up to 30% discount on many offers. It is also required for the free ski pass for children up to 8.99 years when a parent buys a multi-day pass of at least 6 days.
  • Is ski pass insurance included?
All day and multi-day passes for the destination automatically include basic insurance cover for the ski pass. An optional extended insurance, Snow Assist light, can be added at CHF 4 per day when purchasing the ticket.
  • Can I go night skiing or night sledging in Saas-Grund?
Yes. At the Ziebel village lift, night skiing and night sledging are possible for group requests from 19.30 to 22.00. Night sledging is also offered in the Saas Valley more generally.
  • How long is the toboggan run from Kreuzboden to Saas-Grund?
The sledging run from Kreuzboden down to Saas-Grund is 11 km long and offers views of the Mischabel chain and the Mattmark region. Sledges can be hired at the cable car.
