Evolène
Evolène is a ski area in the Val d'Hérens in the Swiss canton of Valais, part of the Espace Dent-Blanche ski region together with Arolla and La Forclaz. The Evolène sector is reached by the Lannaz–Chemeuille chairlift and offers varied slopes with views of the Dent-Blanche, the Matterhorn and the village of Evolène. The wider Espace Dent-Blanche area spans three ski sectors between roughly 1,400 and 3,000 metres of altitude.
Families and Kids
The area includes beginner tracks at Les Haudères and a short narrow path on the Evolène via ferrata described as ideal for children. The Arolla summer yurt has a small children's corner and offers children's workshops on rainy days.
Food and drinks
The Evolène ski area has several mountain refreshment bars, including Buvette La Nouva directly on the Chemeuille slopes and the Restaurant de Chemeuille with its terrace and view of the Dent-Blanche. La Buvette du Tsaté at the top of the La Forclaz slopes serves galettes and house specialities.
