Atzmännig

Atzmännig is a winter sports area in the Goldingertal valley in the canton of St. Gallen, Switzerland. The area is especially suited to beginners and families: on the Brustenegg slope there is a T-bar lift with a mid-station exit and two conveyor belts, while on the Atzmännig slope a chairlift and a large T-bar lift lead up to 1200 m to blue and red pistes. The offering is rounded off by a sledging run, a snowshoe trail, night skiing and the Winter Arena for beginners.

Families and Kids

Atzmännig offers several family and children's activities. The Spatz Männi adventure trail leads from the mountain station back to the valley station and is designed for children aged two to ten, with eight stations and a walking time of about one hour; child carriers can be rented at the valley station for CHF 8.00. The Winter Arena with its conveyor belts and practice area is aimed at young beginners, and the leisure park features a large playground, a petting zoo, a trampoline facility and a bungy trampoline.

Food and drinks

Atzmännig has several dining options. The self-service Restaurant Atzmännig Lodge at the valley station serves a varied selection of dishes, snacks, salads and desserts and is known for its brunch, while the Brustenegg-Hütte, built entirely of old wood, offers a rustic ambience with a large sun terrace and serves regional cheese fondue during night skiing. Further mountain restaurants include the Bergrestaurant Atzmännig Harz near the mountain station, the Bergrestaurant Chrüzegg at 1265 m with homemade alpine cheese, and the Restaurant Alp Schindelberg at 1156 m with homemade cream slices.
