Amden

Amden
Amden is a ski area in eastern Switzerland above Lake Walensee, comprising the Mattstock and Arvenbüel sectors. The south-facing region offers pistes for beginners, families and experienced skiers, several mountain restaurants and piste huts, as well as winter hiking trails, snowshoe tours and a toboggan run.

Families and Kids

Amden is presented as a family-friendly ski region, with the Arvenbüel ski carousel described as ideal for beginners. A kids' area served by the Stock kids' lift, the Pinocchio lift and a magic carpet has its own day and half-day passes, and the Swiss Ski School Amden offers lessons.

Food and drinks

Several restaurants and rustic piste huts are spread across the slopes, including the Walau restaurant at the Mattstock mountain station and the Schneebar Amden. Traditional specialities and modern cuisine are served, and the family pass including lunch can be used at the Monte Mio restaurant in Arvenbüel or the Walau restaurant.
