Alpamare

Alpamare is a large indoor water park and adventure pool in Pfäffikon SZ, Switzerland, on the shores of Lake Zurich. It features 12 water slides, including Europe's longest enclosed racing slide, as well as a wave pool, a thermal whirlpool, a brine bath and a lazy river. The park also offers a wellness area with saunas, steam baths and massages, plus a toddlers' area for young children.

Alpamare has a 200 m² toddlers' area with slides, a paddling pool and many water games, suitable for children up to about 6 years old. Swimming lessons for children aged 5 and up are also offered. Seven of the 12 slides can be ridden together with a child.

FAQ

  • Are there age restrictions for children?
    Children from 12 years old may visit Alpamare without adult supervision. The Jungle Run slide is for ages 8 and up, while the wellness, fitness and brine bath areas are for ages 16 and up. Seven of the 12 slides can be ridden together with a child.
  • Can I bring my own food into the park?
    Picnicking is not allowed in the restaurants or anywhere inside the building. On summer days, however, you may consume food you brought yourself on the sunbathing lawn.
  • Is there a dress code?
    All types of swimwear are allowed as long as they are made of special swim textiles and are not street clothing. Various swimwear, including burkinis, can be rented or purchased at the ticket counter.
  • Do I need coins for the changing room lockers?
    No, the changing room lockers work with a wristband/chip that you receive at the entrance.
  • What happens during a thunderstorm?
    During a thunderstorm, the outdoor pools, the toddlers' area and part of the slides are temporarily closed for your safety. Once the storm has passed, all facilities reopen.
