Zermatt–Sunnegga Uphill Bike Tour (Nr. 22)

Starting in the village, the route leads along the tarmac road to the Ried restaurant until the path gradually turns into a gravel road and heads through fragrant larch forests. Shortly before Sunnegga, you pass through the tree line and the mountain panorama, including the Matterhorn, opens up.   Sunnegga offers lots of route options in practically all directions: a fun descent on the Sunnegga Flow Trail, gourmet delights in Findeln or extending the tour to Riffelalp.   While a mountain bike is not necessary for this route, slightly wider tyres are advantageous.
