The route is closed for winter 2023/24. No need to look too far away – the Gurten has plenty to delight tobogganing fans. The descent down Bern’s local mountain is particularly appealing when the city disappears under a blanket of fog. The wide downhill slope of natural snow, at the foot of Lucerne’s local mountain, makes for a thrilling sled ride. With a variety of snow sports equipment, snow lovers can build up a head of steam. The slope leads over open terrain and then leisurely through the forest back to the middle station Krienseregg.
